Save the best for last di ba? :lol: Noong una nag-aalala ako kung bakit siya ang pinili ko for SALESBA, but after only a few days my state of mind changed. Contrary to popular belief, HINDI siya terror prof, although intense siya sa recitation. ANG GALING NIYANG MAGTURO! I learned to study Law in a different manner because of him; like sometimes, you have to take the law literally, and that you mustn't forget all the connections between the articles. Ang pamatay lang talaga na part ng tests niya is the T/F part, which would require you to "write True only if the statement is ABSOLUTELY true, and False if otherwise". :eek: Nakakalito noong una, pero masasanay ka rin. If you're up to the challenge, take him; it's certainly worth it. *okay*
I agree. Atty Uribe is really good in civil law. He is the civil law bar reviewer in Arellano University School of Law (Malapit lang itong school na ito sa atin. walking distance sa taft). He is very different in law school. sa law school very strict siya. At isa siya sa mga law professors na pinipilahan ng mga 4th year law students para maka enroll sa civil law review. In La Salle, he may not be that strict as compared if he is teaching in law school, but he still delivers very well.
You will learn alot from him sa salesba kasi forte nga niya ang civil law. Law on Sales, bailments and agencies are included in the provisions of the new civil code of the Philippines.
Further, sa law school mataas ang mortality rate sa class niya. meaning konti lang ang pumapasa. But of course, students fail in his class because of their week foundation during 1st year to 3rd year in law school and because they just didn't study really really hard. But if you kept on studying for his class, naturally papasa ka.
The average grade he gives is 1.0 - 1.5.
He fails students.
His recitation is ASGJWVDUFA.
DO not take him if you're not taking LMG, or if you're not interested in Law.
His quizzes are quite hard.
He adjusts in quizzes if many students fail.
at first, I was scared to take him and wanted to drop right away. But now medyo okay lang, he laughs a lot too! and he adjusts quiz scores big time. haha! your score + 20 x 2!!! so mga 110/100 na. hahaha
FU Uribe! He's not that good. Magulo syang magturo. Wala akong natutunan sa class mas okay pa yung magself study nalang. Parang ang tanga ko pag nasa class nya. He's a professor to teach us yet parang sinayang lang yung pinangtuition ko dahil sa ganyang sistema ng pagtuturo.
May favoritism din yang prof na yan. Hindi naman porket wala kang maisagot sa recits nya eh wala ka ng alam. Impressionist sya.
Professor Uribe's really nice. He even makes jokes in class. He's not as scary as I though he would be, but I'm still gonna fail his class because the Law is not for me HAHA! Nonetheless, he's a good professor. You just have to really study and understand the book (being his students means that you have to read A LOT) and listen to his lectures. :)

If your Legal Management or Accounting Major, take him and/or si Atty. Caraan (head of Discipline Office). Kung hindi, then avoid.
Atty. Uribe is a really good professor. Taking his classes even inspired me to take up law. You'll learn a lot from him since he explains really well and detailed. Definitely worth the tuition. OBLICON is one of the best subjects I have experienced because of him. Tip: His quizzes are based on the recitation/discussion so listen well, also read in advance by following his syllabus, participate/recite even if it's not your turn to recite. He's really nice and even makes jokes. He adjusts grades too; I got 3.5 as final grade even though my average quizzes were only 2.5.

I'm an LMG major. I failed in my Oblicon under him. Then, na-inspire na ako sa lahat ng law subjects ko kasi nagka "Uribe-experience" na ako. ALL of my law subjects, 2.0+ na nakuha ko.
Great teacher but always be prepared. Learned a lot from him. Great if you wanna be a lawyer cause you'll forever remember the basics of salesba. Memorize like hell for his exams pero ask for tips from his previous students (^^). Just get the hang of his true or false for quizzes.
wag kayo makinig sa mga nagcocomment! so cool prof to! lagi nagpapatawa. get him kung law major ka madami ka matututunan! :) problem mo lang recitation pero oks lang di makarecite kasi mataas n agad grade mo!
Mahilig sya mag-joke :))Take him if you're really interested in taking up law in the future. Kailangan mo lang basahin and intindihin yung book. Dapat ready lagi kang for recitation. Di naman sya terror. Kahit sino namang oblicon prof mahirap magpa-quiz. He gives additional 25% on his quizzes.
Law subjects are really difficult to understand but Sir Uribe really explains the lessons well, but his quizzes are so difficult that barely 10% of the class passes. A must-take prof if you are enrolled in a law-based program. Good luck!
Never is too harsh... Take him if you want to learn, avoid if you want to just pass through college.
Magaling ba talaga magturo itong Uribe? Parang malabo matuto majority ng students niya dahil sa pinaggagagawa niya sa classroom. Panay quiz na absolutely true or false. Sabi nung isang law prof e wala namang ganyan sa bar exam. Ewan ko kung ano totoo.
Magaling si atty uribe. prof ko sya sa PFR and now Prof ko sya oblicon. lenient na sya compared sa ibang prof. he'll always give you a 2nd chance. need lang talaga magaral. madami lang din syang requirement. lalo na ung pagdigest ng cases. always follow his instructions. strict sya dun. naiinis sya pag di nasusunod instructions sya. he's a brilliant and a humble prof.
