Super galing magturo. He'll do his best talaga para maintindihan ng students yung lesson. Madalas nga lang magmake up class, pero worth it naman. :)

Mga bobo at walang utak lang bumabagsak sakanya. kasi they don't take actbas1 seriously. worth it tong prof. matibay foundation mo sknya pag siya yung actbas1 mo. sure pass menaje, velasco on the succeeding term :))
All I can say is, actbas1 is not really hard, need lang talaga critical thinking and application. Bawal yung puro memorization or tamad tamad or take actbas1 for granted. sila yung mga bumabagsak. In actbas1, need mo talaga intindihin each part. especially lahat ng TRICKS sa actbas1 para magkamali ka ay dapat alamin/aralin mo :p
Sir Joven is really a nice prof. No boring in his class as he cracks some jokes too. I will surely miss him. Even though I got only 1.5. My accounting foundation was better than those who got 3.0-4.0 under Crisostomo or other profs. He can give you a very strong foundation in ACTBAS1. But you need to exert effort. Out of 18 units enrolled. dapat focus ka lagi sa actbas1. REMEMBER! NOT REALLY HARD! IT IS SUPER EASY! TRICKY NGA LANG! usually 40-60% ang bumabagsak. Pero if you're the one yung masipag at analytical. Then don't worry. You will surely pass and get high grades. Kung ikaw naman ay tamad tamad, gustong chill chill prof. I'm sorry, Joven probably won't fit you. at you are just lying to yourself as ACTBAS2, etc is the repetitive of actbas1. You need a very strong foundation under sir Joven for you to ace actbas2, actpaco, actmana.
Very good prof and he adjusts well although super hard ung mga quizzes niya. as in super. in our class i think 10 of us failed but he is really good in teaching. only take him if u are really serious in learning

Sir Joven, teaches very clear and well detailed. However, exams and quizzes are tricky but if you study the activities and professionally mastered on how to answer the problems in the workbook, you will surely pass the quizzes because problems in the workbook are same to the questions in the quizzes. Only carelessness will lead you to failure, so I advise to understand carefully and read all the instructions during the test for those who will be taking under Sir Joven. But overall, you will pass with him just study and master all the lessons. Also, If he knows that you study well, and your if you got a raw score that is nearest to 70% like 69 or something, he will think about it to consider you. My advise is to show to him your effort that you study hard even though you fail the quizzes many times what is important to him is your effort. If your near passing you have a chance to pass because of the efforts that you show to him.
I failed under him but I don't regret taking him at all. I learned alot under him. His quizzes are tricky like what others say but his teaching and humor makes up for it. Just pay attention. I'm sure I'll get a high score when I retake because he's good. Way better than other profs like villamin

I love Sir Joven! He makes accounting sound so easy! Yes, his quizzes are tricky but you need to listen intently to his lessons. DO NOT DAYDREAM IN HIS CLASS because is you do, hindi mo na maggots un next na lesson. Fast paced kasi siya but he knows his stuff. Sisiw na lang ang finals if you were able to pass all his quizzes. MUST PICK IF YOU WANT TO LEARN!!!
My prof in ACTBAS1. Highly Recommended sa mga masisipag at gusto matuto sa accounting. Super magaling magturo. Sobrang linaw, madalas nagpapamake up class. Tricky Exams (If you study well and hard, medyo ok ka na)and strict sa attendance. Oh, you can also ask questions anytime, di siya magaling magalit.
Yah. He always have a trivia during class. Bigla bigla nalang magsasabi, "Did you know..." or "Would you believe..."
No assignments. Pag meron, kunti lang, kasi he will answer the workbook exercises at the class. All you need is to copy.
May pagkafavoritism, umiikot sa class during quiz at tinitingnan minsan sa test paper mo. Pag may mali ka, he will give you a hint.
Pag masipag at matalino ka magaral. PICK HIM! MALAKAS ACCOUNTING BASE MO SA KANYA! Pag gusto mo chill, this prof is not suite for you. Kahit bumagsak ka sa kanya, feel mo worth it parin kasi magaling siya magturo, malinaw. At easy quizzes but tricky nga lang. Got 2.0 from him. :)
